Halloween & Half Term: Embracing the Transition to Autumn

As the 10th month in the calendar, October brings together nature's beauty, cultural festivities, and seasonal reflections, making it a time of both joy and contemplation. It is a month of transition, marked by the shift from the warmth of summer to the cooler, crisper days of autumn (or spring, in the Southern Hemisphere).

As the leaves begin to change colour, turning shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown before they fall, we are surrounded by harvest time for crops like pumpkins, apples, corn and squash. The days grow shorter, and temperatures start to drop, making it a cosy time of year, perfect for warm sweaters, hot drinks, and pumpkin-flavoured treats.

And let's not forget Halloween, a time for spooky fun, costumes, trick-or-treating which has evolved into a major cultural event.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Small Businesses

I was so pleased to be able to showcase at the second Surrey Festival of Skills ALPS & @surreyeventprofessionals along with 80 exhibitors and over 2000 students visiting.

This was a great opportunity to be able to talk to the students and discuss options and chat with them showing them all the businesses & brands that take part at our Pop Up Shopping Events.

Students were able to meet Surrey employers from a diverse range of industries and businesses that will be able to identify their future talent to help them grow.

I was joined by :-

Rob @dappersuave - fashion , textiles , styling

Geeta @vertlondonuk skincare , candles

Astrid @marypjewellery - handmade jewellery

Sarah @sarahrawlins_artist Abstract Artist

We all had such great day of building connections and inspiring futures, and had many chats and where we were each able to give some input and show that being creative as well as business minded, you can achieve what you want and put your skills into becoming an entrepreneur.
